On April 2, 2024, SFPES closed its doors indefinitely to in-person application assistance services due to a severe decrease in LIHEAP funding. LIHEAP assists San Francisco’s most vulnerable populations. Please click below to learn more about how you can support our advocacy efforts to secure more LIHEAP funding.
For fiscal year 2024, SFPES expects to receive only $1.35 million in LIHEAP funding. This is a sharp contrast to the $5.3 million they received in 2023.
Due to the decrease in funding and continued high demand for LIHEAP, a Priority Plan has been implemented to serve those in most critical need.
We encourage you to apply, but we cannot guarantee assistance even if you meet LIHEAP income eligibility guidelines.
Income Eligible Households May Be Denied
